Resonance Art Exhibit
By gabs | March 6, 2009
To celebrate the lover’s month and the richness of our country’s art, six of my friends exhibited their paintings last Feb 17, 2009 at the VIP hotel lobby here in Cagayan de Oro city. They are Nick Aca, Michael Bacol, Errol Balcos, Oca Floirendo, Nonoy Estarte and Ivan Macarambon. The name of their painting exhibit is RESONANCE and these Oro Art Guild exhibitors hope that their artworks will resonate with the month and most especially the viewers.
According to Ivan Macarambon, “Art is ever present in the heart and consciousness of every individual, whether that person is an art lover, an art practitioner, or just a witness. One can be an innocent bystander watching a series of premeditated actions or minor accidents that lead to the creation of an artwork. One can be ignorant of the process, content at looking at the creative result. One can even choose to look the other way. But like an untouched musical instrument that sings in sympathetic vibration to a tone sang by another instrument, one never escapes the clutches of art. A good artwork will leave even the most disinterested of viewers subconsciously singing the tone of the image in his heart until he retires for the night. That is the quality and function of art. To produce a tone essential to human existence and hurl it at the viewer with enough force as to invade his consciousness and linger there until such time the essence dissipates.”
The Exhibit will run until March 30, 2009. Here are some chosen photos of their artworks but I hope that you’ll visit the exhibit within the month and let their artworks resonate within you.

Thanks Gab for featuring RESONANCE. How are you? This is my first time to visit your site. I like your post “In Control.”
“What will you gain, if you own the whole world but destroy yourself?” Mark 8:36. I agree.
Keep on blogging, my friend. Art, and most importantly, God be with you.
